Barbara (Rebecca Roth) Lewis of White Plains, NY died Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the age of 70. She was the wife of Michael Lewis and beloved mother to Jennifer (Tanney) O’Dell. Born in the Bronx on June 8, 1951 and raised in Yonkers, Barbara was a lifelong and vibrant member of the Westchester community. She was the daughter of the late Arnold and Estelle (Danker) Roth. Barbara attended high school at New Rochelle Academy and Harcum College of Bryn Mawr, PA and adored her summers at Camp Chipinaw. She most recently volunteered as a patient advocate at White Plains Hospital, helping families navigate challenging moments with her warmth and friendly personality. The consummate retail saleswoman and client specialist, Barbara worked at various clothing and apparel stores throughout her career and was recognized for her achievements in sales. She loved dancing and listening to a live band and days in the sun by the pool. Barbara was adored by all who met her, friends, colleagues and casual acquaintances alike. Along with her husband, Michael Lewis, Barbara leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer (Tanney) O’Dell and son-in-law, Douglas O’Dell of White Plains, NY; grandsons, Brandon and Matthew O’Dell; sister, Susan (Roth) Blumenthal and brother-in-law Robert Blumenthal of White Plains, NY; stepdaughter Rachel (Lewis) Mancini and her family; stepson Bradley Lewis and his family; niece, Emily (Blumenthal) Reagan of New York, NY; nephew, Sanford Blumenthal of Scarsdale, NY, and their families, along with many dear cousins and close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Riverside Memorial Chapel in Mount Vernon, NY with burial to follow at Mount Eden in Valhalla, NY.
