Bernard London passed away peacefully on April 3, 2018 at the age of 92. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY on July 25, 1925, he graduated from NYU with a degree in aeronautical engineering and worked for American Machine and Foundry (AMF). He later became a Senior Vice President at Dorr Oliver in cargo handling systems. In 1969, he founded London & Egazarian Associates, Inc. which designed and implemented cargo handling systems and which also specialized in package handling systems for UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL and Purolator Courier, Inc. amongst others. He retired in 1993. His wife, Claire London, predeceased him in 1981. He leaves behind four (4) children, Stuart, Donald, Randi and Paul and their spouses, Donna, Joan, Steven and Hope as well as grandchildren, Cary, (married to Alissa), Lee (married to Lindsay), Cara, Samantha, Mindy and Erin. In 1993, he found love again with his live-in partner, Diane Rosenkrantz. They resided in White Plains, NY. In his retirement, he wrote extensively about his life and submitted articles to the Journal News of which several were published. Bernard was fortunate to share Diane’s family which included her children, grandchildren and most recently great-grandchildren. Bernard was a devoted family man who gave his all to his family and friends throughout his entire life. He will be remembered for his generosity, love, sense of humor and unselfishness.
