Jack and Ina's book made a deep impression on me. Margrit, Harvey, and Sofia, I loved the scenes from the film with all of you gathered together for a special meal. I just finished watching the documentary  Steal A Pencil For Me.   I was so moved by these two extraordinary people,  Jack and Ina,   I wanted to read more about them and stumbled upon this obituary.  I am saddened to read of his passing.  I read all of his accomplishments and as great as they were,  the thing that touched me the most was the love that he had for Ina.  A love like that is extremely rare and it was so touching.   My condolences to the family.

A little part of us all is lost when a Survivor dies.....What an amazing man he was. He will always be remembered. I remember what an honour it was to meet one of Schindler's women from the camps. She was a friend of my dad's and met her at my step mother's funeral....she comforted us when we broke down and cried. Rest in Peace Jack Polak....xoxo

What an amazing man he was. I learned to admire him after watching "Steal A Pencil For Me". Mr. Polak, I thank you with all my heart for sharing these extraordinary & inspirational stories with us, but specially for showing us what true love really is. Rest in peace dear Mr. Jack Polak. I had a chance to meet Jack Polak at the Anne Frank Center and was also moved by his book,"Steal a Pencil For Me." He was honest, funny, kind and extremely generous to share his life story to create a better world--which he did. My condolences to the family.

God bless his soul, he will be remembered by his life and his works.
