Leon attended Long Island University and Case Western Reserve where he received his DDS degree in 1946. He proudly served as a Captain in the Army of Occupation in Munich, Germany post World War II.
Leon was a highly regarded dentist working in New York City first in a family practice and then as a solo practitioner until his retirement in 1996.
He embraced all aspects of life and was an accomplished artist who loved fine wine, opera, ballet, music, sailboats, the NY Giants and plants. There are many “Leon” plant offshoots lovingly tended by friends and family throughout the east coast. But above all else, he cherished his family. His children could not have had a finer parent and his grandchildren were the recipients of his unconditional love. He was a loving presence and role model for all.
