I remember Mrs. Katlien from my childhood.   I remember her voice, it was warm and kind. She had a very comforting smile. There were a few times when she scolded me as a child. We used to catch the bus right in front of her house.  One day she came to the door wagging her finger at me, telling me to zip up my jacket cuz it was cold out, or she would tell my mother. I smile, remembering how non-threatening it felt and I zipped my jacket up. She is the kind of soul this world needs more of right now.
Genetics is a beautiful and powerful thing. Marilyn gifted her daughter with beauty, warmth and intelligence, as I am sure Julie has gifted to her children.  

Dear Julie,
You know I've had my share of death. You can either mourn death or celebrate her life. To try to do both muddys the waters and neither gets accomplished well. I remember her with a smile.
