74, after battling the progressive disease ALS for over four years. Muriel
will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Ira, two loving
children, Laura and Robyn, sons-in-law, Nemo and Patrick, and her five
grandchildren, Zachary, Benjamin, Gabriel, Ella and Ryan. Her final days
were spent with close family around her and, although the disease took so
much from her, she never lost her positive spirit.
Muriel lived the majority of her life in Manhattan and Larchmont, New York.
She was awarded her Doctorate in Psychology (Psy. D) from Yeshiva University
in 1995 and worked with children in school settings and with disadvantaged
youth before starting a private practice. Muriel loved her family, the
theatre, tending to her orchids, good food, and truly loved life and lived
it to the fullest. She cherished her time in Amagansett with her husband,
children and grandchildren. Muriel's devotion to her family, her love of
life, and dedication to her work will be fondly remembered and appreciated.
