Betty was a longtime member of the Lebanon Junction Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, she found joy and fellowship in being part of an organization that meant so much to her. She also dedicated many years to serving the children and families of Bullitt County as a school bus driver before retiring.
She especially loved gardening and took great pride in tending to her flowers and plants. Her garden was a reflection of the patience, care, and love she carried throughout her life.
Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and the memories created with them will be cherished for generations to come.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Allen; and 2 brothers, Thomas E. Graham and Albert M. Graham.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Allen, Bonnie Vires (Scott), John Allen, and David Allen; grandchildren, Patrick Mason, Dillon Vires (Kaylynn), Adam Vires (Billie), Samantha Allen (Charlie), Austin Allen, Claire Allen, and Mary Allen; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive). Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in Buffalo Springs Cemetery (630 Hustonville Road, Stanford Kentucky.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
