

Mrs. Betty Hardin, age 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 7, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1940, to the late Carl and Evelyn “Cravens” Houghton. Mrs. Hardin was a woman of true unwavering faith. She was a member at the Louisville Grace Community Church of the Nazarene. Betty worked for the American Printing House for the Blind for 38 years. Betty and her husband Howard were the proud owners of the Shepherdsville Country Music Show. They had been owners for 6 years but had been part of the music show for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Kyanna Car Club for over 30 years. Betty had a bubbly personality. She never met a stranger and loved to talk and share stories. She loved spending time and making memories with her family and friends. Betty will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Howard Hardin; children, Howard Hardin (Alma), Rhonda Tuten; grandchildren, Bobby Tuten, Joey Tuten, Ashley Hardin and Chris Hardin; great grandchildren, Hayden Tuten, Jaylah Tuten, Jordyn Tuten and Bentley Tuten; siblings, Patricia Hill (Jerry), Gloria Burgin and Laura Williams; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 13, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington KY, 40047) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
