March 18, 2000 – May 28, 2026
Cameron Alexander Blalack, a certified force of nature and a man who treated life like one big outdoor adventure, passed away on May 28, 2026, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was only 26 years old, but if you measure life by the amount of mud on his boots, the fish in his bucket, and the noise in his house, he lived a century’s worth of life.
Born on March 18, 2000, Cameron spent his days earning his well-deserved title of the "wild man." If a tree could be climbed, a river could be fished, or a rule could be gently bent in the name of a good time, Cameron was leading the charge. He was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand, surrounded by the great outdoors, and flanked by his chaotic, beloved circle of family and friends.
While he was a fiercely loyal son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, his greatest and wildest adventure was becoming a father. He leaves behind four beautiful children and one incredibly lucky bonus son. He taught them how to love fiercely, laugh loudly, and appreciate the freedom of the open air.
The world is a whole lot quieter and a little less exciting, without him in it. We love you with every inch of our being!
The Wild Man’s Last Cast
The woods are a little bit stiller today,
The river is missing its friend.
The wild man has finally packed up his gear,
As his earthly trails come to an end.
He lived at full throttle, he danced in the mud,
With a laugh that could shatter the night.
He’d hook every fish (or at least lie he did),
And chase every spark of delight.
It’s breaking our hearts that he left us so soon,
A son and a brother so dear,
A father to five who were always his pride,
Whose laughter he loved so to hear.
We’re crying a river of sorrow and tears,
But we smile through grief and the pain—
'Cause heaven just inherited one rowdy soul,
And it’s never quite the same.
So cast out your line in that lake in the sky,
Keep running untamed, free, and brave.
We love you, dear Cameron, our favorite wild man,
Until we meet up at the wave.
