Gertie Marie Hatfield

Gertie was a true caregiver at heart. Her mission was to make sure everyone always had what they needed. She had a big heart and a comforting smile. Her greatest joy was her grandson, Thomas Jr. She loved spending time and making memories with her friends and family. Gertie will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leo Hatfield; parents; and siblings, W.T. Price (Elizabeth), Kenneth Price (Emma Jean), Charles Price (Gloria) and Sarah Scott; and niece, Emma Whiteside. Gertie is survived by her son, Thomas Gordon Sr. (Tonya); grandson, Thomas Gordon Jr.; brother-in-law, James Scott; her friends that cherished her presence; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington KY, 40047) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
