

She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family, Family was at the heart of her life, and she loved her children and grandchildren more that words could express. She treasured the time spent together and created memories that will be lovingly remembered by those who knew and loved her.
An avid reader, she found great joy in getting lost in a good book. She also enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching, taking pride in the beautiful and meaningful things, she created with her hands.
She had a special love for the mountains and especially enjoyed spending time in Gatlinburg with her family. Those trips were filled with togetherness, laughter, and treasured memories that her family will carry with them for years to come.
Above all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family. Her presence brought comfort, warmth, and love to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ressie Hall; and a brother, Norman Hall.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Roy “Dick” Powell; son, John “Tag” Powell (Stephani); daughter, Missy Manus (Tim); grandchildren, Ian Powell, Collin Powell, Alexa Manus and Chloe Manus; and sister, Sharon Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 5:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood, and Brooks Funeral Home, 123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, KY 40047.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, August 26,2026, from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service.
