Lonnie Kreil Moran, age 79, of Mt. Washington Kentucky, went home to his Heavenly home on August 26, 2026. Kreil was born October 6, 1946, in Louisville Kentucky to the late Sylvester “Fred” and Dorothy “Dot” Moran. Kreil was a man of faith. He was a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church for over 25 years where he served as a Deacon. He was on the Board of Directors for the KMHI, “Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute.” Kreil was President for the Hog Chapter of Kentucky Harley Davidson group. He was a true Patriot and was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He loved hunting and being at the lake. Some of his best memories were made with his friends and family. Kreil will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine “Geri” Moran and parents. Kreil is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Duty (Rick) of Pikeville, Kentucky and Amie Barnes (Danny) of Louisville; three sons, James Calhoun (Jennifer) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Jacob Moran of Louisville and Joshua Bradshaw (Wallace) of Louisville; five grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons and two great granddaughters; siblings, Freddie “Diane”, Scottie “Lucy”, Cissy “Bob” and Dave “Rose”; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, August 31st, 2026, from 1p.m. until 8p.m. and on Tuesday from 10a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
