Barbara J. Strouse

She was born on Sunday, August 24, 1930, the daughter of Lewis and Inez (Bennett) Suiter, in Muncie, Indiana.

Barbara graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1948.

She had worked at the Youth Opportunity Center as a receptionist for ten years.

Barbara loved playing Bingo, bowling, socializing, and was an avid I.U. and Pacers fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah K. (Jerry) Honeycutt and Vicki (Dan) Corrigan; son, Virgil "Buster" (Linda) Strouse; sister, Joann Hicks; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; beloved dog, Reggie.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Virgil Strouse.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Brother Carl Stone officiating.

Visitation will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
