Betty E Evans

She was born on February 16, 1939, in London, Kentucky, the daughter of Dock H. and Julia E. Jones.

Betty attended the York Institute in Jamestown, Tennessee, where her love for basketball began and she enjoyed playing for years to come.

Betty retired from Ball State University after thirty years of service. She attended Bethel Baptist Church alongside her husband, Clyde.

Betty was a fashionista and enjoyed the latest hair and make-up styles. She loved spending time cooking and baking, as well as collecting cookbooks. Betty also enjoyed spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jefferson; brother, Bob Jones; sisters, June (Norman)

Brown and Lois Eller; grandchildren, Brandon and Carley Jefferson; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Gracelyn Jefferson; nephews, Jeff Brown, Rob Jones, Shane (Amy) Eller; loving nephew and neighbor, Jim (Kim) Evans; great-niece, Morgan Eller and great-nephew, Logan Eller.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde S. Evans; brother, Gerald Jones; niece, Kimberly Brown; in-laws, Ron Eller, Wanda Jones and Nancy Jones.

Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304, with Pastor Larry Waters officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
