Bonnie Lee (Whitson) Kwolek of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026. Born on May 7, 1940, to Ralph and Dorothy Whitson, she was the oldest of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Whitson; her sister, Kathryn; and her husband, Ed Kwolek. She is survived by her brother, Donald Whitson of Stanwood, Washington; her two children, Suzanne Gooding of Anderson, Indiana, and Keith Boblet of Batavia, Ohio; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Marysville High School in 1958. Bonnie did everything with attention and care, which was especially evident in the way she tended to her home and family. Everything was always in its place, and every surface reflected her sense of order and pride. Throughout her life, she found great joy in sewing, ceramics, gardening, and scrapbooking, thoughtfully preserving memories of family and friends. She also found beauty in life’s simple pleasures: the quiet joy of reading and the loyal companionship of a beloved pet. Her neatness and thoughtfulness touched every corner of our lives, and we will miss her calm, gentle presence every day.
Services for family and close friends will be held on June 28 at 12:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, Washington.
