Barbara J. Reed age 82 of Hamilton passed away Monday October 27, 2014 at Hawthorne Glen. She was born September 18, 1932 in Hamilton the daughter of the late Roscoe and Bertha (Reece) Newman. She was married to Orval Reed and he preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Reed was a dedicated employee of Heib's Market and Five Points Market for several years, having worked seven days a week until about five years ago. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a life member of the VFW Post 1069 Women's Auxiliary and attended the Tuley Road Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Reed is survived by her children Gary (Melinda) Reed, Wilma (Thomas) Horn, and William (Lisa) Reed; six grandchildren Steven (Debbi) Pannel, Crystal (Justin) Lavadour, Jason Jorgenson, Natalie Conover, Christa (Ricky) Stafford, and Ryan Reed; nine great grandchildren Adam, Aaron, Gregory, Josephine, James, Erich, Laci, Amberlyn, and Kylie; two sisters Sharon (Eugene) Massey and Carol (Alonzo) Mills, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reed is also survived by her son in law Mike Stafford and sister in law Barbara Newman. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Judith Stafford and siblings Marvin Newman, Leon Newman, Fonda (the late Oscar) Still, and Cecil Newman.
