She was born in Daleville, Indiana to Frank and Thelma Currey. Carolyn married Harold Coleman Wages Sr. in 1951. Together they raised two sons, Coleman (Ellen) and Mark (Consuela). She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Bill and Donald.
Carolyn worked at Indiana Bell until her retirement. She loved her family, and especially children. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking. She was especially proud of her pies. She had been very active at her church (Bethany Christian) teaching Sunday School.
Carolyn is survived by her brother (Fred); two sons, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th, with a graveside to follow at 1 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
