Dallas E. Bullard

Dallas Bullard, 78, of Muncie passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of July 4, 2026; truly gaining independence from a body worn thin by the increasing years. The son of Fred Bullard and Elsie Long (Stanley), Dallas was born in 1947 in Muncie, the oldest of four in the Bullard household. Dallas attended school in Gaston, but found that hands on work appealed to him the most and at age 16 he began to work in local manufacturing shops. Dallas was a machinist by trade, a trade in which he worked for over 50 years. Locally Dallas worked at Metric Manufacturing, US Engineering, Duffy Tool, DynAmerica Corporation, Twoson Tool along with a couple of out of state ventures before eventually retiring from Mursix Corporation.

Dallas married Karen Coburn on December 5, 1969 and they built a family over their 53 years of marriage before losing Karen in 2023. Dallas leaves behind four sons, two, who have spent their lives growing up and building families out of state, Dallas Bullard (Donna) Ontario, CA and Derrick Bullard (Veronica) Denison, TX. Combined, they have brought 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren to the Bullard family. In addition, Dallas is survived by two sons living locally, Mike Bullard (Amy) and Donnie Bullard both of Muncie. Five grandchildren, Elijah Bullard (Madison) of Indianapolis, Rikki Felton (Josh) of Goshen, Ethan Bullard of Gaston, Evan Bullard of Cowan and Brad Bullard of Muncie along with 5 great grandchildren.

In addition, Dallas is survived by a sister, Connie Cook (Lloyd) of Cowan and a brother, Stacy Bullard (Barbara) of Plainfield, many nieces and nephews and their children and his best friend throughout 50+ years, Allen Williams.

Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Karen and a brother, David Bullard of Muncie.

Family and friends may gather from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304. A funeral service to honor his life will begin at 2:30 PM.
