David Kidd

David R. Kidd, 78, of Muncie, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sunday, May 2, 1943, to Clarence Dennis Kidd and Zella (Gregory) Kidd. David married Linda Phelps on April 23, 1966.

David was a family man who enjoyed attending church at Safe Harbor Apostolic Lighthouse. He worked for Waste Management of Muncie for thirty-five years before retiring in 1999.

David leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-five years, Linda; sons, Michael (Brandy) Kidd, Mitchell (Ellen) Kidd; daughters, Amy Kidd and Belinda (Jake) Fields; grandchildren, Brena Stevens, Brittany Kidd, Seth Fields, Matthew Fields, and Dakota Delaplane; great-grandchildren, Nick, Neaveh, and Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Zella; sisters, Janice Daniels and Joy Foster; and one granddaughter, MacKenzie Stevens.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Safe Harbor Apostolic Lighthouse, 304 N. Waldemere Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47303. Pastor Rick Monroe will officiate.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church before the service. Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
