

He was born March 22, 1935, the son of John and Anna Turner. David graduated from Muncie Central High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Nancy (Proctor) Turner, and they shared fifty-eight years together before her passing.
David was Vice President of Panscape Corporation. He was very proud of the work he did as the appointed Engineer for the City of Muncie where he also served as Vice President of the Board of Public Works, a member of the Delaware-Muncie Planning Commission, and later became Delaware County Highway Engineer. David then retired from Morrison and Associates.
Survivors include his daughters, Hannah (husband, David) Ridgway and Noel Ann (husband, James) Neal; two grandchildren, Jacob (wife, Julia) Ridgway, and Matthew Ridgway; a great-granddaughter, Temperance Ann Ridgway; sisters, Martha Lutz, Lois Wheeler, and Sharon Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; son, Mark Turner; his parents; and sister, Henry and brothers, Jim, Joe, John, and Bob.
A celebration of David’s life will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park with military rites.
