Don E. Snider

He was born July 19, 1932 to Mark and Dorothy (Wine) Snider in Hartford City.

Don graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1950 and worked for Borg Warner, retiring after 45 years with Warner Gear.

He was a current member of Glad Tidings Church, past long-time member of Industry United Methodist Church, and Gideons International. Don was a former member of the church choir and a favored Sunday School teacher who enjoyed studying the bible. He had also lead vespers at Westminster Village.

Don loved nature and being outdoors and took great pleasure hiking in the Smokey and the Rocky Mountains.

Don is survived by: children, Forrest (Lynnee) Snider and Greg (Steve) Snider; brother, Jack (Laurie) Snider and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda Snider, whom he married February 28, 1953; his parents, and daughter, Susan Westerman.

The family would like to thank the Westminster staff, Compassus staff and caregiver Jill Roysden for their compassionate care of Don.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Holt officiating.

A private burial will take place at a later time at Tomlinson Cemetery, Muncie.
