Elaine was truly one of a kind. A hippie at heart, she had a love for music of all genres, although anyone who knew her knew that she loved Van Halen. She had a special love for fairies and mermaids and carried a little bit of that magic with her throughout her life.
Elaine was funny, strong-willed, and, as those who loved her would affectionately say, more than a little bull-headed. She wasn’t afraid to be herself, and that was part of what made her Elaine.
She leaves behind her son, Jason Chastain; her grandchild Allison Chastain, Great Grandchildren Carter Ellenberger, Lila Stefancik , and Ah’Mara Stefancik; her spouse, Roch Reichly; her mother, Phyllis Griffith; and her brother, Mark Griffith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Griffith whom she loved immensely.
Elaine will be deeply missed by her family and by everyone whose life she touched. Her music may have stopped here, but we’d like to believe somewhere there’s a Van Halen song playing, the volume is turned all the way up, and she’s exactly where she’s supposed to be.
And in the way that seems most fitting for Elaine, we like to think she was brought home to Heaven by the fairies.
Rest easy, Mom. We love you.
