Some of the best memories of my life. Every Saturday our Aunt Bee & Uncle Joe would take my sister Dorinda & I to Gibson's Skating Rink. Ann, her husband, our cousin George Ed & Ann's mother & father were always there to welcome us. I can only imagine the countless 1000's of lucky children Ann taught to skate, mentored & comforted over all these years. She had the most unique ability & love to make every one of us feel special. Ann, you are in my heart forever. I am honored to have had you in my life.

I will always remember her teaching me how to skate 30 years ago. I will miss her greatly. Ever chance I could get to come back home and skate. I would come to the skating rink to see her smiling face. She was like a grandma to me on the rink. I will be introducing skating to my children in honor of her. When the time is right for them to all learn how to skate. Just like the Amazing Ann did to me at a young age.

I always stood in awe as I watched Ann skate. We didn't realize when we signed our three daughters for skating lessons, just how much our lives would be affected. There are so many memories of cookouts at Ann and George's, parades and just getting together to talk and laugh. We made lifelong friends there. We thank you for letting us be a part of your lives. Many prayers and much love for your family as you go through this time of grief. May God bring you comfort and bless you.

Mrs. Ann was a strong woman and a great example of competent adult supervision of children and parenting throughout my childhood. I loved how she acknowledged real achievement and wasn't afraid to call out misbehavior in kids. It was a joy to watch her continue to skate and see her and everyone in the family work diligently at Gibson's Arena. Much love and prayers to all who loved her! Ann Sheridan will always be a Muncie icon and truly missed!

Ann was one of a kind. Kindhearted, generous, thoughtful, and one of the strongest women I knew.

She was our neighbor on Grace Court. She offered my sister and me a job at Gibson Area when George and Ann took it over in the early 1960's. I learned many things from this lady in my early years. She could put the fear of God in you at times as an employee, because she had integrity and cared about the business. Though she was considered bossy , she had the most respect from me.

I can see her rolling around (on roller skates of course) blowing that whistle at some kid that was breaking the rules and giving them a timeout on that long wooden bench. She was one of my favorite people in my life.

Loved Ann, a great mom not only to her own children but countless others. It’s safe to say she was the only respectable role model as a care giver a lot of kids had. My heart breaks for your family, Ann will be truly missed they don’t make um like her anymore! A wonderful person.

To the ENTIRE Sheridan family please accept our deepest sympathies for this one incredible lady. Heaven has a new angel that is now out of pain and smiling and very grateful for her life. She was a big part of my growing up, whether it was helping in our class trips from Stevenson Elementary, enjoying our skating party, or it was her skating around the rink keeping an eye on all of the skaters. GOD had blessed her with such a wonderful, loving, and awesome spirit! As you gather together to celebrate her life make sure you laugh, smile and hug a lot! Hug each other for me, because this was the persona she displayed to me as I was growing up...one great person who loved to watch people smile and enjoy themselves. RIP Ann...We love YOU...
