Bill J. Mainous, age 79, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 3:05 am at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Bill was born on October 2, 1935 in Booneville, Kentucky, the son of Conley and Layton (Herd) Mainous. He married Shirley Baxter on April 6, 1956 in Booneville. He was employed as part owner of Mainous Transport, Inc. for the past 22 years. Bill was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley and two sons Darrell Mainous of West Chester and Jeff Mainous of Hamilton. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Rev. Ed Mainous, Don Mainous and Floyd Mainous.
