Elvera Nichols

She graduated from Sheldahl High school in 1942, and attended AIB College in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Frank Nichols on June 25, 1944, in Sheldahl, Iowa, and they later moved to Muncie, Indiana, in 1958. She worked in many office settings and later was employed by Marsh Foods for 22 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends, especially Judy Sorrell and neighbor, Jim Wagner.

She is survived by her son, Mark Nichols; and many nephews and nieces. She was very close to nephew, Stephen Conkel and niece, Darlene Erickson, who sadly passed away in 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank; her son, Craig; her parents, and 15 brothers and sisters.

Elvera said many times she was "The last of the Mohicans". Her favorite motto to those that crossed her path was, “Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here, so live for today”. She will be missed.

Per Elvera’s wishes, a private service will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
