Fay Etta Irene Brooks, 79, of Muncie, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on January 21, 1946, in Weiner, Arkansas, to John and Louella Parrish. On June 26, 1964, she married Charles William Brooks Sr., and he preceded her in passing on May 28, 2005.
Fay loved to fish and play Bingo. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Fay is survived by her son, Robert (Jennifer) Brooks; grandsons, Brandon (Heather) Brooks and Charlie Otis Robert Brooks; granddaughters, Jessica (Richard) Erwin, Danielle (Zac) Helms, Ashley (Rob) Cunnington; sister, Sandy Sanchez; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Charles; son, Charles William Brooks Jr.; and sister, Martini Cox.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 7 pm, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, IN 47304. Friends may visit with the family from 5 pm until the time of service, on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
