Finley Denny Durham

Denny was born in Bloomington, Indiana to Philip F. and Beatrice C. Durham on January 1, 1944.

He was a 1962 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Denny was a business owner in Muncie, Indiana for over 50 years. During that time, he owned or managed Durham Printing Company, Centennial Packaging, and DIY/Group, Inc. Owning a family business was one of the great joys of his life. His other great joy was music. Denny was well known around Muncie for his piano playing. As part of the Terry-Den-Lou trio, and later with Chuck McCoy, he played at countless wedding receptions, parties and New Year’s Eve events for over 50 years. Denny also enjoyed playing the piano for his many friends at the American Legion Post 305 in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Philip F. and Beatrice C. Durham, and his two sisters, Delynn Hearn and Liada Labonte.

Denny is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra K. Durham. Also surviving are his son Philip F. Durham (wife Gina Durham), his daughter Lianne Foster (Steve Martin), stepson Randy Janney (wife Rhonda Janney), grandchildren; Haley Durham, Philip Durham, (Fiancé Emily Scholer), Mercedes Beard, Dakota Hurley, Nicholas Foster, Randi Michelle Belt, (husband Adam), and Ross Janney (wife Andrea). Surviving are 5 great grandchildren; Jase, Jayde, Madyson, Noah, and Harlem. Also surviving are nieces Stacy and Natalie, and nephews Brian and Matthew.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm on Thursday August 20, 2026, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home in Muncie, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Friday August 21, 2026, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
