Gary Hillery

Gary Hillery, 76, passed away on October 11, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be remembered for his kind heart, dependable nature, and willingness to always lend a helping hand.

Gary was a hardworking man who could do just about anything. A true jack of all trades; he was smart, resourceful, and someone others could always count on. Above all, Gary was known for being one of the nicest men to everyone he met. He loved his family deeply and had a special soft spot for animals. When he wasn’t helping others, Gary enjoyed spending time working in his yard, taking pride in the work he did.

Gary is survived by his wife, Adonica; his children, Lindsey (Larry) Marshall, Tiffani Offringa (Tylor Strebel), Bobbi (Chris) Ricker, Brandy (Todd) Neff, Shannda (Jamie) Gregg, and Zachary (Olivia) Welborn; his grandchildren, Brentton Offringa, Bailey and Macie Dowd, Ellie, Audrey, Laney, Kiel, Devin, and Hannah; several great-grandchildren; and lifelong friends, Glen and Barb. He is also survived by his siblings, Loyd Hillery, Debbie Bernd, Linda Hawn, and Jimmy Braid, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Opal Hillery; his late wife, Kelli Hillery; his grandson, Chase Kumkoski; and his dear cat, Nibby.

Gary leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered fondly for the countless ways he helped others and the love he shared with those around him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will begin at 1:00pm at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
