Gene Whitehead

Gene R. Whitehead Sr., 78, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on Tuesday, December 12, 1939, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Gene Clair and Lona (Davis) Whitehead. Gene enjoyed fishing and watching sports on television. He was also a member of Full Gospel Temple in Muncie, Indiana. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Sandra A. Whitehead, Muncie; three children, Alice (husband, Scott) Evans, Muncie, Indiana, Ernie (wife, Jennifer) Whitehead, Muncie, Indiana, and Gene (wife, Sandy) Whitehead Jr., Portland, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special niece, Lisa Murphy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Don Ross Whitehead; and two sisters, Kay Manship and Jane Crose. Private family services will be held.
