George was born February 15, 1930, to George E. Young and Nora Young in Detroit, Michigan. George was a professor of landscape engineering for 30 years at Ball State University. He was also the owner of the Young Team Golf Course Architecture Group which designed many golf courses in the Midwest. George served honorably in US Army-Korean War. He enjoyed golfing and fishing trips with his family. He was also a talented watercolor artist.
George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly M. Young; his parents, George and Nora Young of County Limerick and County Cork, Ireland.
George is survived by his loving family, Desmond (Carol) Young, Michael Young, Denise (Lance) Heinrich, and Maureen (Owen) Glendening; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his brother Raymond Young of Brighton, Michigan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
