OBITUARY

Glen Harris

November 1, 1931February 11, 2020

Glen Harris, 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Bethel Pointe in Muncie, Indiana.

Glen was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on Sunday, November 1, 1931, the son of Jesse Harris and Verna (Caudill) Harris. He moved to Muncie, Indiana in 1955. Glen married Virginia Bates on April 21, 1962 and they were married thirty years until her passing. He worked for Delco Remy in Anderson for thirty years until his retirement.

Glen enjoyed horseracing, gambling at casinos, and was proud to be a contestant on the Hoosier Millionaire. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. Glen loved tinkering in the garage and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter, Joyce Patterson; sisters, Ann Harris, Elsie Kissick, and “Ti” Harris; grandchildren, Andrew Bennett (fiancé, Kristi), and Brittany Nipper (Steve); great-grandchildren, Treyton Bennett, Zandon Nipper, and Andrew Scott Bennett Jr. “Baby Andy”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Verna Harris; and wife, Virginia. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.

Just want to let the family know i am sorry for their loss and at this hard time i hope they are able to find peace and love in each other. I didnt know glen for a long time but do know his family loved him very much. And i have heard alot of good stories about him. My heart goes out to all his loved ones and friends affected by his passing. Prayers are with u all
