He was born Sunday, August 17, 1941, the son of the late Dicie Watters. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Wanda Watters and they shared fifty-three years together. Haston worked at Borg Warner for thirty-five years before his retirement, he owned and operated Watters Heating and Air for over forty years. Haston was most proud of his grandchildren and anyone who knew him knew he was a family man more than anything. He was a proud fifty year member of the Freemasons. Haston also enjoyed being a part of the Scottish Rite and American Legion.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Watters; sons, Jason (Erica) Watters and Troy Watters; mother-in-law, Jewell Brown; brother-in-law, Phillip (Deb) Brown; sister-in-law, Tonya Stewart; grandchildren, Josh Watters, Krystal Watters, and Morgan Watters; several nieces, nephews, and loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dicie Watters and a brother, Herbert Waters.
Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Pastor Ben Lang will officiate. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
