Howard Jones

He was born Wednesday June 13, 1928 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of J. Leo and Roxie M. (Huddleston) Jones. Howard graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1946, followed by enlistment in the United States Army. He served from 1946 until 1948, mostly in Germany. Howard attended Ball State Teachers College for 3 ½ years. He was employed by Ball Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1989 as Marketing Manager of Consumer Products Division. Howard was a 61 member of High Street United Methodist Church and a 48 year member of Delaware County Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and Carpentry.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Beverly (Armstrong) Jones; daughter Kristi (husband David) Disney and granddaughter Anna Disney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Bradley K. Jones, and sisters Jeanne Carney and Creole Mills.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.

Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday.
