James Darby

He was born September 30, 1969 in Milwaukee, Oregon the son of Steven L. and Marcia K. (Hart) Darby. James was a member of The Bridge Community Church and the Eagles Lodge. He loved riding his scooter everywhere he went.

Survivors include his sisters, Stephania Darby, Lois Haley (Michael), and Helen Whisman (Brian); three nieces, Shelby Grove, Madilynn Whisman and Adriana Whisman; one nephew, Cayden Whisman; several friends and his canine companion, Dexter.

He was preceded in death by dad, Steven L. Darby; his mom, Marcia K. Chandler and his grandparents.

Services will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304 with Pastor Joshua Cooper officiating. Private burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park at a later date.

Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
