James H. Hood

He was born July 27, 1943 in Olivehill, Kentucky to George and Beulah (McGlone) Hood.

James had worked for Frank's Foundry for 20 years, retiring in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Hutchinson) Hood; children, Jack Hood, George (Debbie) Hood, Linda (Mike) Spears, Robin (Rick) Deardorff, and Patty Daugherty; sister, Sarah Roberts; grandchildren, Vertie (Andy) Mcfalls, Patricia (Lance) Slaven, Danny Deardorff, Curtis Deardorff, Ricbecka Deardorff, Ricky Deardorff, Kaylee (Ron) Scott, Aceton Hood, Braydon Hood, Colby Hood, Christopher Daugherty, Chelsey Daugherty, Christina (Christopher) McKenny, Kevin Russell, Margerett Russell, and James Hood; sixteen great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nora Hood and Linda Hood; great-grandson, Ja'Colby Scott.

Services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304 with Pastor John Foster officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Burial will be at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
