James "Jimmy" D. Wise

He was born May 6, 1961, the son of John Wise Jr. and Janet (Sanders) Wise.

A 1979 graduate of Muncie Central High School, Jimmy went on to study and graduate from Amber’s Beauty College where he went on to become an instructor. While at Amber’s Beauty College, he met and fell in love with his wife, Tina. They married on January 3, 1987, and together they spent 38 beautiful years together. Later, he went to work for GM, where he then retired from. Jimmy was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands. He liked to restore John Deere riding lawn mowers, flip houses and could always be found in his garage. In his free time, Jimmy also liked to go fishing with his wife, going to church and seeing his church family, and watching old horror movies. Most of all, Jimmy loved spending time with his family and pets.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Janet (Sanders) Wise; wife, Tina Wise; three children, Krista Wise, James Wise Jr., and John Wise; grandchildren, Ethan Wise, Opal Thornburg, Kailey White, Tristan White, A.J. Wise, Westyn Wise and Ava Wise; nieces and nephews, Quentin Long, Juliana Long, Daymon (wife, Terra) Rigsby, Kira (husband, Mike) Futrual, Carrie Johnson and Matthew Dedrich; siblings, John “Tom” (wife, Carol) Wise, Julie Marlow and Jay Wise; mother-in-law, Loretta Rigsby and brother-in-law, Terry Rigsby.

He was preceded in passing by his father, John Wise Jr.; one son, Kyle White; and a sister-in-law, Tammy Long.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home; 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN, 47304, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
