John and I were saddened to learn of Jan's death. The EBOH group will miss her terribly. She was a beautiful lady. The only consolation, if it can be taken as such, is that she had suffered so much, and now is at peace. Our thoughts are with you.

We became fast friends when Joe and Jan stayed at our Bed & Breakfast several years ago. Sometimes you just know that you are meant to be friends. This friendship has brought us together several times at the cottage on Lake Michigan. Jan had hoped to come sit by the lake with us again this summer. Her last email said that she just didn’t think she was up to it this time. When we arrived the peg with her special apron was empty. I searched the lake house all day for the special apron she made for me. Cherries and apples of course to remember our trips to the orchard. I was so upset that it wasn’t hanging where it should be. My thoughts were on her all day. They were suppose to be with us up here that week. Little did I know that was the day she passed on into God’s hands. Such a beautiful soul inside and out. The world needs more Jan Bakers in the world. I fell blessed to have been friends with her for so many years. Our hearts hurt with her loss. Jerry and I send our love to Joe and the girls.
Jerry mentioned her amazing skill with a camera. She always captured the best sunset shots, or canoeing the crystal river , giggling all the way. Always up for an adventure. She will be so missed. Love her still.
Deepest sympathy,

My love, thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Baker family.

I had the honor of spending time caring for Jan at different times in the past weeks when Joe needed help. He was truly amazing with the care, love and support he showered upon her.

God Bless you Jan, Rest in Peace.
