He was preceded in passing by his loving Grandparents: Brice and Grace Alice Fitzgerald and William L. and Merlyn Cook and Brother, Timothy William Cook.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Erin Grace Cook; 2 grandchildren, Willow and Waylon; Parents and sister, Rebecca Anusic (husband, Sini); and 2 nephews, Benjamin and Nicholas; Uncle Ed Fitzgerald (wife Nancy), Aunt Suellen Hartley (husband, Jim), Aunt Eileen Loeffler (husband, Neil), Aunt Carolyn McLaughlin and their families.
Joe loved reading, history, fishing, canoeing, helping people, trivial facts, and had a keen way of finding a way to fix anything. He had a very kind soul. He would often watch Jeopardy with his Mother to see which one could guess the correct answers. Joe is greatly missed.
He attended Benton Central High School and Howe Military School. He graduated from Vincennes University.
Cremation Arrangements are made by EIm Ridge Funeral Home in Muncie, Indiana. A Private graveside service will be held at a later date
