A 1974 graduate of Yorktown High School, he enjoyed reading, listening to music, and watching his favorite sports on television. He had a curious mind and a love of learning, often taking online classes to explore new interests and gain knowledge. He enjoyed discovering new things and continued to grow through his many interests. He will be remembered for the things he loved and the memories he shared with those closest to him.
Joe is survived by his brother and sister, John (Pamela) Mahoney and Elaine (Patrick) Maveety; 2 nephews and 1 niece.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and an aunt, Wanda Walker.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
