Juanita Linder-Garrett

Juanita Linder-Garrett, 71, Muncie, passed away Tuesday evening, January 12, 2021, at her home. She was born Wednesday, October 12, 1949, in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of William Porter and Flossie Ellen (Stephens) Linder. Juanita loved spending time with all of her family. She enjoyed attending many of the sporting events that her grandchildren were active in. Juanita worked at Newell Brands, (formerly Ball Brothers, Alltrista, and Jarden) for over forty-seven years. For over twenty years she was very active in, and President of United Steel Workers, USW Local 93G. Survivors include her daughter, April (husband, Doug) Williams; grandchildren, Lindsey Williams, and Tyler Williams; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Howard of Daleville, Betty Jo Linder of Jamestown, Tennessee, Sue Carol Linder of Jamestown, Tennessee, Leta Faye Matthews of Jamestown, Tennessee, Janice Carter of Daleville, and Nancy Ann Stewart of Jamestown, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews including, Kevin Matthews of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Kelly Williams of Cookeville, Tennessee, Connie Smith of Daleville, and Joe Woody of Daleville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Porter and Flossie Ellen Linder; brothers, J.Q. Linder, William Harold Linder, Hollis Russell Linder, James Kernel Linder, Clyde Ray Linder, and Jerry Linder. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday or after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
