I served on Stow City Council when Jim was Law Director. He was , in my opinion, the best LD we ever had. He had a great knowledge of Municipal Law, an uncanny way with words and he was a master at writing legal opinions.
Knowing that some of his opinions were crafty and wordy, he always ended them with two words... WE WON or WE LOST.
I also considered him a good friend and I enjoyed his quirky, wry, sense of humor. and conversation. My most memorable times were those we shared as a City Hall Group, after meetings, over coffee, at the old Isaly’s Restaurant in Stow.
Janet and I send our prayers and condolences to the Martin family
