Lloyd Irvin Reed, 88, of Eaton, Indiana passed away surrounded by loving family on July 26, 2021 at his home in Eaton, Indiana.
Lloyd was born on August 31, 1932, the son of the late Clyde and Theresa (Haugh) Reed. Lloyd was the original owner and founder of Reed’s Plastic Tops for 32 years before retiring in 1994. He was a vibrant, caring man who believed in “Family First”, Lloyd adored the family he created with his loving wife and best friend, Mary. He enjoyed spending time with friends just hanging out telling stories. He always left an impression on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him and was a friend to all.
Lloyd is survived by his four sons, Richard Reed, Danny (Tracey) Reed, Ron (Lisa) Reed, and Todd Reed; his two daughters, Christina (Paul) Staton and Tina Selvey; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nic) Wall, Mandy (Jeremy) Robinson, Jessica Reed, Pamela (Chris) Williams, Hollie (Adam) Reed, Daniel (Susan) Reed, Nikki (Cory) Atkinson, Cody (Heather) Burns, Ashley (San) Swallow, Weston (Maleena) Reed, Demaree (Darko) Vukomanovic, Zachary (Sierra) Selvey, Nathan Selvey and Landon Crago; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary of 62 years; his parents, Clyde and Theresa Reed, brothers; Merle (Pete), Kyle (Fat), Ralph (Hank), John, and Jerry; sisters; Margaret Shaw, Belva Duke and Violet Reed.
Private graveside services will be held at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Full Military honors will be conducted. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required as well as social distancing.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 21, 2021 from 10-2 at Lloyd’s beautiful 85 acre farm in Eaton, Indiana. For directions please call 765-510-1634.
