Luther Edmond "Eddie" Burris

Luther Edmond “Eddie” Burris, 66, of Muncie, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. He was born on September 6, 1959, to Wesley Burris and Elizabeth (Hovis) Whited.

Eddie was diagnosed with Wilson’s disease at a young age which affected him for his whole life. He loved to fish, buy/trade, and help people any way he could.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Jessica Campbell; grandchildren, Jayme Dean, Steven, and Kalian; siblings, Steve Burris, Davie Burris, Pam Walker, Robbie (Phyllis) Burris, Clifford Burris, Stacy (Jim) Bradshaw, and Betty Jo; and caretaker, Ashley.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Wesley and Betty; wife, Lavonda Sue “Susie”; children, Christopher and Jayme Dale; and siblings, Debbie Wright, Benton Burris, Hershel Burris, Randy Burris, and Jimmy Burris.
