Margaret J. Crick

Margaret Jane Crick, 95, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Monday, July 26, 1926, in Hillisburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Leroy and Cleo (Leslie) Malicoat. Margaret grew up in Frankfort, Indiana and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1944. Following high school, Margaret went to work for the United States Air Force Material Command and achieved career status with the government. Shortly after World War II, she was employed at Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, Indiana. On June 15, 1946, she married the love of her life, Curtis “Ray” Crick, an airforce pilot, and walked the road of life with him until his passing in 2004. After rearing her two daughters, she became a licensed Health Care Administrator, served as Vice President of Operations for U.S. Management in Muncie. Later, she joined Nationwide Management, and was administrator of Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center and served on the President's Advisory Committee. She was elected secretary for Indiana Health Care Association and served two terms. Margaret retired from Long Term Health Care in 1996. Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Les) Taylor and Debra Imel; grandchildren, John Taylor (Melissa), Jane Taylor, and Laura Pryor (John); eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Curtis “Ray” Crick; her parents, Leroy and Cleo (Leslie) Malicoat; and sisters, Jacqueline King and Peggy Lambert. Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
