Muncie-Mary Margaret Smith-Adkins, 70, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at her residence.
She was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1948, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Helen (Huffman) Stellwag.
Mary retired from the M&M Bus Company as a school bus driver after thirty-four years of service.
She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and genealogy.
Mary is survived by her husband, Danny Adkins; son, James B. Smith; daughter, Angela (Eric) Johnson; sister, Gloria (Jay) Dillon; grandchildren, Kiersten Johnson, Lily Johnson, Emma Johnson, Ryann Smith, Fallon Smith, and Ellen Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher “Bubba” Smith, and first husband, James E. Smith.
Services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Visitation will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
