Mary Kathryn Stamps, 83, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Brickyard Healthcare in Muncie, IN. She was born in Richmond, IN on October 18, 1941 to William and Kathryn Burdett. On October 25, 1958, Mary married David L. Stamps and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2011.
Mary had the unique opportunity to attend Richmond High School alongside her daughter, Teresa, and proudly received her high school diploma in 1980. Mary was a certified clown and went by the name “Bits & Pieces”. She and her husband, David, enjoyed being a part of different CB clubs and was given the call name of BlueNote. Mary enjoyed doing arts and crafts and listening to the music that David made. She loved angels, Mickey Mouse, Elvis, and Willie Nelson.
Mary is survived by her children, Tammy Reynolds, Estel Stamps, and Teresa (Jimmy) Mack; grandchildren, Buster (Jessica) Toschlog, Kathryn (Joey) Williams, Joshua Fleming, Lauren Castro, LeAnn Stamps, Emily (Codi) Cook, Zachary (Maizie) Stamps, April Gillespie, Jimmy Mack II, Joshua M. Mack, and Nicholas Mack; granddaughter in-law, JoElla Stamps; great-grandchildren, Jakob, Erik, Lukas, Braxton, Reilly, Dillon, Johnathan, Honesty, Jayden, Gannon, Ryan, Sophia, Saige, Maribel, Natalie, Jaxon, Aiden, Owen, Joshua W., Kaiden, Kalli, and Brooks; and one great-great-grandson on the way, Truth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; and grandson, Edward Stamps.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, IN 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
