Heather Potter, his devoted sister, said it best when she said, "He was the best brother, father, and son. Michael always made you laugh or always had a sarcastic comment! For anyone who knew him, they knew that he was stubborn and very hard headed, but he was always there for you no matter what! He loved sports, his girls, his family, and his dog. You never truly know when it's a loved one's last day or when you would have that last conversation with them. I will forever miss our arguments and picking on each other. Until we meet again Michael, I hope you are in a better place and up there and running around with Family."
As Heather had mentioned, Michael enjoyed sports such as bowling and golfing and was an avid sprint car fanatic. The love that he had for sprint car racing was only eclipsed by his love for his three young daughters, Claire, Carissa, and Carmen Bidwell.
Despite losing Michael so suddenly, his family made the decision to donate through the Indiana Donor Network, saving countless lives in and around the state of Indiana. Through their selfless acts, Michael will forever be remembered as a hero to so many.
Michael is survived by his parents, Steve and Sherri Bidwell; daughters, Claire, Carissa, and Carmen Bidwell; a sister, Heather Potter; a niece, Phoebe Potter; aunts and uncles, Bryan (Pam) Bidwell, and Chris (Julie) Wolf; numerous cousins; and his dog, Ruger.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory may be made to Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), 1209 West Riggin Road, Muncie, Indiana 47303, https://www.munciearf.com/donate-arf.
