Michael Martin

He was born on Tuesday, September 5, 1967, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, the son of Clayton and Joan (Thomas) Martin. Michael graduated from Fairlawn High School in Fairlawn, New Jersey. In high school, he played on the soccer team and track team and growing up he played tennis with his dad. Michael always stayed in shape and liked to work out and he loved to run. He actually ran in the Boston Marathon. His pastimes were going to Coffee Shops, his favorite was the Mayberry Café, watching Andy Griffith on T.V., and listening to metal, rock and classic music. Michael attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and he volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Most recently, he was working at Tysons.

Survivors include his daughter, Hannah Martin; sister, Michele Atnally; and his best friend, Jeff Cohen.

His parents, Clayton and Joan Martin, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Father Christian DeCarlo officiating. Cremation arrangements have been arranged to follow.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
