He was born January 18, 1950, in Rushville, Indiana, the son of Thomas and Martha (Allen) Tomlin. Michael was very proud that he served his country in the United States Army. His favorite pastimes include bass fishing, golfing, and hunting, all of which he loved sharing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and he was a ‘guitar pickin’ cowboy. Michael worked for Visteon-Ford and was a Union rep.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah (Strauch) Tomlin; son, Jimmy Joe Tomlin; daughters, Dessie Rae Tomlin, and Rachell Jean (husband, John) Schultz; brothers, Richard (wife, Patricia) Tomlin, and Rodger (wife, Pamela) Tomlin; sister, Patricia (husband, Victor) Hunt; grandchildren, Devin (wife, Savannah) Tomlin, Karissa Fay Tomlin, Macy May Tomlin, BobbieRae Gonzales, John David Schultz, Jessie Jean Schultz, Jovi Payton Schultz, and Bradie Louks; father-in-law, Wesley Strauch; brother-in-law, Stephen W. (wife, Traci) Strauch; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Martha Tomlin; sister, Diane Tomlin; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Strauch.
