Myron "Max" Joseph Davis

Born in Muncie, Indiana December 4, 2001, Max was the beloved son of Scott and Raeanne Davis. From an early age, he possessed a wild eyed spirit, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to those he loved. He graduated from Wes-Del High School in 2020 and went on to earn his certification from Southeast Lineman Training Center in 2021.

While attending lineman school, Max was awarded the Chad Diffy Memorial Scholarship. Recipients are nominated by their instructors and selected for exemplifying the qualities that defined Chad’s life: selflessness, kindness, dedication to others, and a passion for serving their communities. Those who knew Max understood why he was chosen. He lived these values every day.

Max’s greatest ambition was to follow in his father’s footsteps and make him proud. In 2023, he began his career with AMPP Construction, where he found a calling that combined his love for the construction industry with his desire to continue his father’s legacy of service. In his own words, “I feel incredibly proud to be part of such a unique trade that allows me to combine my passion for the construction industry with my dream of carrying on my father’s legacy as a first responder.” Those words reflected the pride, purpose, and determination that guided his life.

Max was preceded in death by his father, Scott Davis, in 2011.

He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, including his mother and bonus father, Raeanne and Brandon Ogle; his brothers, Jake (Solomon) of SanDiego, CA, and Jack Orebaugh Nokomis, IL; his sister, Emma (finance Josiah) Nokomis IL; his paternal grandparents, Tom and Vicki Davis; and his maternal grandparents, Cathy Spears and John Lillie, all of Yorktown, Indiana. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Max will be remembered not only for his kindness and dedication, but also for the spirited personality that made him unforgettable. He was ornery in the best possible way, always ready with a mischievous grin, a practical joke, or a witty remark that could make anyone laugh. A true daredevil at heart, Max never backed down from an adventure and embraced life with courage, confidence, and enthusiasm. Whether he was testing limits, chasing excitement, or simply keeping family and friends on their toes, he brought energy and laughter wherever he went. His adventurous spirit, fearless nature, and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Yorktown Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Cemetery, where Max will be laid to rest beside his father.

Though his time here was far too short, Max’s impact on those around him was immeasurable. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, infectious smile, ornery giggle, and piercing blue eyes. His legacy of service, compassion, and love will continue to live on in the lives he touched.
